CW: Please give us a brief background on EMM International.

Zamblera: PPG acquired EMM because of its legacy of delivering innovative solutions for the paint and paint-processing industry. Best known for its Colad®, Finixa® and Hamach® brands, widely used by paint professionals, EMM built a strong reputation for product innovation and customer focus in the allied products space. 

CW: What made this a valuable acquisition for PPG?

Zamblera: This acquisition expands PPG’s allied products portfolio and supports our strategy to deliver greater value to body shops. EMM’s well-established brands, innovative capabilities and customer intimacy complement PPG’s global reach and distribution network. Together, this combination strengthens our ability to accelerate innovation, operate efficiently and deliver more sustainable solutions for paint professionals.

CW: How does this acquisition strengthen PPG’s auto refinish offerings?

Zamblera: At PPG, we are focused on driving key-to-key productivity for our body shops from the time a vehicle enters a body shop until the time it leaves, enhancing operational efficiency and meeting cost pressures through sustainable solutions and process optimization.    

The acquisition strengthens PPG’s automotive refinish business by enhancing our end‑to‑end offering for body shops. By adding EMM’s allied products capabilities, PPG can better support the full repair process—from preparation and protection through finishing and workflow efficiency—helping customers improve productivity, quality and sustainability.

CW: What products and services does EMM offer?

Zamblera: Through its Colad, Finixa and Hamach brands, EMM offers a broad range of allied products, including personal protective equipment, paint preparation solutions and mixing room innovations.
