PPG will showcase its advanced industrial finishing solutions at GlassBuild America, highlighting coatings engineered for exceptional weather resistance, design versatility and long-term durability for windows, doors and other architectural metal components. The event will be held Nov. 4-6 in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center.

Visitors to the PPG stand (South-29036) can meet with experienced architectural specification professionals to learn about PPG CORAFLON® Platinum powder extrusion coatings and PPG DURANAR® liquid coil and extrusion coatings. These products meet FGIA/AAMA* 2605 performance standards for windows, aluminum extrusions and architectural metal applications, including curtain walls, storefronts and entrances. PPG representatives will be on hand to discuss the company’s portfolio, which includes solutions for all performance specifications and building applications, including field-applied touch-ups and repairs.

PPG recently advanced the capabilities of its FEVE (fluoroethylene vinyl ether) technology with the introduction of PPG Coraflon Platinum powder coating, a next-generation solution for architectural extrusions. Designed to deliver exceptional application efficiency, enhanced corrosion resistance in a single coat, and an expansive gloss spectrum ranging from matte to high shine (5–85), it also enables designers to replicate the aesthetics of anodized finishes and the tactile appeal of natural materials such as stone, terracotta and cement.

Independent testing released in 2025, conducted under recognized industry standards*, found that PPG Coraflon Platinum maintained its color integrity with only a 6% fade over five years, outperforming comparable products by a factor of 20.

“Our high-performance coatings are formulated to provide formidable protection and long-lasting finishes, even in the harshest environments. But what truly sets us apart is the trust we’ve earned from architects, designers and builders worldwide,” said Leah Hemminger, PPG sales manager, extrusion products, Industrial Coatings. “They rely on PPG not only for metal protection, but also for our technical expertise and design insight that elevates every project.”

For projects that demand FGIA/AAMA 2605 performance in liquid formulations, the company’s flagship PPG Duranar liquid coil and extrusion coatings set the standard for metal protection. The coatings brought color stability and exceptional durability to architectural metal as one of the industry’s first PVDF-based (polyvinylidene fluoride) systems.

PPG Duranar liquid coatings are available in an extensive library on-trend colors, including solids, micas and metallics, with options that feature advanced IR-reflective pigments that reflect solar heat and color-shifting pigments. This versatility gives builders and architects the freedom to design projects that stand out for their dynamic aesthetics, energy efficiency and resilience. PPG Duranar coatings are featured on high profile projects including the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Lyrik Back Bay in Boston, Thirty75 Tech in Santa Clara, Calif., and Hudson Yard in New York City.
