Duromar, a division of Blome International and a global leader in high-performance protective coatings and linings, announced the successful completion of another Commercial Grade Survey under The Nuclear Utilities Procurement Issues Corporation (NUPIC) #25705, NPP Survey #CGS25-007, conducted July 14–16, 2025.

NUPIC is the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s preferred method for approving and maintaining approved suppliers.

The survey was conducted in accordance with the NUPIC Commercial Grade Survey Checklist and included a comprehensive review of Duromar’s quality assurance (QA) program. The evaluation covered the company’s quality manual and procedures, personnel interviews, facility inspections, observation of QA activities, and review of quality-related documentation. In addition, NUPIC and NRC databases were utilized to scope and validate the assessment.

Survey Findings

The survey concluded that:

• Duromar’s QA programs are being effectively implemented.
• Identified critical characteristics are under proper control.
• Duromar will be considered for reapproval and continued listing on the Approved Suppliers List as an acceptable Commercial Grade (CG) supplier.
