AkzoNobel Packaging Coatings will unveil its latest Accelshield BPA non-intentionally added (BPAni) coatings range at Abralatas 2025 (Nov. 5, São Paulo), introducing key solutions for can bodies to the Brazilian market.

AkzoNobel’s Accelshield™ range of internal can and beverage ends coatings gives can makers and brand owners high-performance solutions that meet evolving legislation and consumer expectations, helping the metal packaging industry to move confidently toward a bisphenol-free future.

On the exhibition stand, the team will be showcasing two key beverage inside spray solutions from its Accelshield range.

Accelshield 150 is a waterborne BPAni internal coating for can bodies. It has been proven in commercial use in markets around the world since 2015, delivering the flexibility, chemical resistance, and corrosion protection can makers expect from epoxy systems, while being qualified by an extensive list of brand owners. Accelshield 150 offers excellent mobility and processing efficiency on high-speed lines.

AkzoNobel’s Accelshield 300 coating for internal can bodies is free from bisphenols, phenolics, formaldehyde and styrene and represents the next step in performance and responsible innovation for can coatings. By anticipating future developments, Accelshield 300 coating is the most regulatory-advanced and future ready solution on the market. It delivers outstanding corrosion protection, flexibility, and sensory performance – with laboratory and brand testing showing improved flavor performance compared with earlier generation coatings.

Complementing the new BPAni introductions, AkzoNobel will also feature its Aqualure™ epoxy-based inside spray coatings, trusted by can makers worldwide for their performance and reliability.
