CW: How does Lamberti’s offerings of products and services differentiate itself from the competition?

Brichard: At Lamberti, transforming advanced scientific expertise into pragmatic, market-driven innovation is our core strength that differentiates us. In doing so, we bring value to our customers, going beyond surface  protection,considering the environment, the materials, the shades and effects. In  partnership with our customers, and helping them achieve leadership positions in their respective markets.

From concept through validation, market adoption, procurement, production, and delivery, we maintain operational excellence across the entire value chain with quick decision steps. This ensures that even the most advanced solutions are delivered efficiently, reliably, and at scale—enabling our customers to succeed faster and more effectively.

Our widest natural and synthetic polymer ranges from environmentally friendly water base resins and additives that offer performance, aesthetics, matt appearance and haptics for various applications and substrates (wood, metal, plastic, textile, paper etc) is probably unique to  the market

CW: What solutions does Lamberti offer to deal with challenges facing the following industries: industrial coatings, architectural paints, printing and packaging, textile and laminations

Brichard: In coatings applications, we deliver high-performance, sustainable solutions tailored to both industrial and architectural needs. In printing and packaging, we focus on enhancing runnability, minimizing waste, and improving user experience. Our advancements in water-based binder technologies are enabling the next generation of digital printing—supporting applications across folding cartons, paperboard, and flexible films. Recycling and Circularity, balancing durability of coatings for Textile and lamination applications.

Haps and VOC free solutions, elimination of PFAS in our additives and binders, Bio based PUDs that are compostable, everything is developed in Lamberti to offer consistent technological eco-friendly products.

Additionally, our diversified manufacturing footprint and strategic sourcing approach—combining regional and centralized procurement—help mitigate supply chain risks and ensure consistent product availability, even in volatile market conditions.

CW: Lamberti offers a wide range of solutions. Please a comprehensive overview of the products and services you provide.

Brichard: We offer a comprehensive portfolio of solutions designed to enhance performance and aesthetics across a wide range of surfaces and applications. Our offerings are organized into five key categories:

• Film Formers

• Matting & Texturing Agents

• Adhesives

• Rheology Modifiers

• Crosslinkers

Within these categories, we deliver highly engineered solutions tailored to specific performance needs. For example, our self-crosslinking acrylic emulsions for protective coatings provide an exceptional balance of durability, flexibility, and chemical resistance

We are also a leader in ultra-matte and soft-touch technologies. Lamberti is the sole producer to offer a range of polyurethane (Decosphaera®) and acrylic (Spheromer®) beads as matting agents for CASE applications.

Our expertise in textile finishing and lamination continues to expand, strengthened by the addition of both solvent-based PU and water-based polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) produced in East-Providence. In packaging, our Solucote® heat-activated coatings and adhesives are industry benchmarks for blister packaging in the Americas being regional producers.

For digital printing, our EsaJet® water-based binders and crosslinkers provide a complete, high-performance solutions tailored to specific printheads and substrates—empowering customers to push the limits of digital ink applications.

CW: How are you expanding your offerings to meet your customers’ needs in North America? (hubs, expanded network, etc.)

Brichard: We continue to invest strategically in North America to better serve evolving customer needs and industry trends. A key milestone in this expansion is the establishment of our dedicated polyurethane dispersion (PUD) manufacturing facility in East Providence, Rhode Island.

This manufacturing site and storage hub, focused exclusively on our Surface Treatment division, strengthens our ability to deliver locally produced solutions and technical application support. By combining domestic production with locally sourced raw materials, we enhance supply chain resilience, reduce lead times, and provide greater flexibility to our customers.

This investment underscores our long-term commitment to the North American market—delivering innovation, reliability, and proximity that translate into tangible competitive advantages for our partners.
