PPG announced the addition of a versatile, fast-drying clearcoat to its leading PPG DELTRON portfolio of automotive refinish products across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

This versatile clearcoat is adaptable to any workshop setup and gives body shops and painters the ability to enhance refinish processes by choosing from a range of drying options:

• Five minutes at 50 degrees Celsius
• 10 minutes at 40 degrees Celsius
• 15 minutes at 20 degrees Celsius dust free (polishable after 45 minutes)

The air-dry mode (20 degrees Celsius) delivers up to 60% energy savings compared to a standard clearcoat baked for 20 minutes at 60 degrees Celsius. The energy savings can contribute towards sustainability targets, while reduced process times mean that body shops and repair centers can work more efficiently and optimize painters’ time, increasing productivity and profitability.
