AkzoNobel has published its digital Report 2025, which paints a comprehensive picture of the company’s performance and ongoing transformation.

Available via the company’s website, the online annual report provides extensive coverage of AkzoNobel’s financial results, as well as the key business developments during 2025. It also includes an in-depth Sustainability section, which aligns ESG disclosures with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

In his opening statement, CEO Greg Poux-Guillaume reflects on a pivotal year for the company:

“2025 was a banner year of operational execution – and a strategic turning point – as our drive to build a stronger AkzoNobel culminated in a proposed merger which will take us back to the forefront of the coatings industry.”

There are four main sections in the report, which focus on Strategy and operations, Sustainability, Leadership and governance, and Financial performance. In the Sustainability section, highlights include the progress the company is making towards achieving its key ambitions, with carbon reduction for Scopes 1 and 2 now at 47% (versus the 2018 baseline) – close to the 2030 target of 50%.

Looking ahead to 2026, Poux-Guillaume adds: “We’ll continue to execute on our strategy as we prepare for the closing of the proposed Axalta merger, targeted at the end of the year. We don’t anticipate a meaningful recovery across our end markets. However, our self-help approach is clearly delivering and the measures we’ve taken will continue to support our bottom line as we move towards this next chapter in our long and proud history.”
